EnerDrive ED-6000MV medium voltage drives may be configured for a variety of high-voltage power sources ranging from 3.3kV to 34.5kV and operating with output voltages of 3.3kV to 6.6kV. ED-6000MV VFD drives are state of the art medium-voltage devices, as they utilizing an array of low-voltage components to create complex multi-step output waveforms.

EnerDrive MV Variable Frequency Drives exceed IEEE 519 power quality requirements because the basic drive has at least an 18-pulse front end. The multi-level waveform output with 7,9 or 13 steps output at 3, 4 and 6kV has a high enough quality level that it creates a near perfect sinusoidal waveform that eliminates the need for inverter duty rated motors and cables, even for long cable distances. Our medium voltage VFD may be retrofitted to older installations to improve efficiency or can be used as part of a modernizing program.

Medium voltage AC drive systems are available in NEMA 1, NEMA 3R, and NEMA 4 electrical enclosures, and are also available with input voltages ranging up to 34.5kV with ratings of:

  • 3/3.3 kV 132kW – 2500 kW
  • 4.16 kV 200kW – 2900kW
  • 6/6.6 kV 250 kW – 5000 kW

All MV VFD drive systems are currently air-cooled; however, fluid cooling is expected to be introduced in 2010.
